Before getting totally hands-free, you have to be hands-on, unless you are happy with a 3-5% return, like those "accidental landlords" are getting.

I think if you want to be totally hands-free before your RE portfolio gets to a certain scale, you are either dreaming, or you just stuck with crappy return forever.
