Toyota announced its solid-state battery technology, claiming a 1200km (745 miles) range and 10-minute charging time, on July 5, 2023. They stated that this breakthrough could significantly reduce the size, cost, and weight of EV batteries while improving range and charging speed, according to CleanTechnica. This announcement was part of a broader plan to commercialize the technology by 2027.
