That is my concern. The amount of money is $10500. This might be enough for them to spend time and energy to do that?

Also, I live in NC right now and move into west part of the country.

More then 1 trustworthy American friends have told me that I would be fine.

The lawyer didn't say so. Certainly, they need clients to make money from.

Also, I believe I was taken in. The 1st lease expires at the end of this January. Last Sept, we got notice from the landlord, saying if you renew the lease up to May, you can have the current rent, if you choose the monthly rent, the rent will be higher, etc.

I went to the office to renew it, believing it was May 2010. However, I made a mistake and didn't check when I signed. When I found out later, it was too late.

Really, bothersome.
