关于cash美国国库卷

请问一下大家，过期很久的美国国库卷还可以兑现吗？持有人还在国内, 如果没问题的话可以让美国的熟人帮忙兑换吗？ 多谢大家的回复...

BTW, 该国库卷是持有人爷爷在解放前购入(1935)，为期50年。
