if you get the check before court day, go to her bank and ask if there is enough fund in there. They may or may not tell you. If they do, and there is not enough fund, ask for a letter to show that. Or record the conversation with the teller. Take this to court.
If there is enough fund, don't mention it on the court.

Finally, she has to catch up on all past rent, late fee, bounced check fee, before you can even consider letting her to stay.
