Go easy on your wife, as when everybody is gone, she'll be the only one with your.
It sounds the realtor is not even your regular realtor.

As for the contract, I don't believe you can back out of the contract. I'm sure it's written somewhere on the contract that you need to pay all closing cost. That's how they do things. Backing out will be breaking contract. Perhaps you'll know what to expect next time around.
