"We also now have five of the Magnificent Seven stocks paying dividends, as Google announced its first ever dividend. We also now have five of the Magnificent Seven stocks paying dividends, as Google announced its first ever dividend. The pressure is now on Amazon to join the club of tech giants returning cash to shareholders in addition to investing in artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities."
My takeaways:
Growthstock are turning into value stocks, which generally speaking can stabalize the market. Monopoly has not occured, but Apple Google MSFT and Facebook are like the big three motor companies in 1950s, albeit more dominate on the globle scale and crazily profitable. Though they don't move atoms, they move bits, info and emotions. They extended American dominance. That said, globle race is still on energy that moves both bits and atoms, and save our lives, i.e time.
I think the war on AI is unlikely to be one winner takes all becuase deep expertises involved with truly domain specific jobs and proprietary content. If there is no proprietary content, we may see a temporary productivity boost, but creativity on the society level will suffer because individuals will not be motivated to work as their work will easily be copied. AI has its own curse.
