如果存了Roth IRA是不是必须file tax return?

我家小孩去年第一年上大学，有几百块的w2收入，我们就让她把这些钱投了Roth.她这点收入按说是不需要file tax return的。但是如果不file return的话，是不是就不能投IRA?
