具体说法是match dollar to dollar, or 75 cents to the dollar, or 50 cents to the dollar, of your contribution, up to 6% of your salary.

我上过班的公司没有一家给到dollar to dollar.

我表里从1994年match3000开始每三年加1000. 3000在1994年按6%算相当于6万的年薪，在那时非常非常高了。2023的match算11,000，这按6%算折合183,000的年薪，按3%算折合近370,000年薪。
