traditional IRA account 可以直接投资任何股票，基金和债卷，如果你选择合理，可以买费用低的指数产品。对比401/403账户，一般最多只有十几个投行设置的基金，而且费用一般都高，即使401K的指数产品也比市场通行的类似指数产品贵。说穿了，401K/403是华尔街设计的给自己的一块肥肉。如果能离开401/403，需要尽快离开。

这个结论的前提是在IRA账户里面类似401K的投资态度，只买不卖知道退休。自己不要在IRA账户里面瞎炒股。IRA没有401K那么多限制，有时候自己会忍不住。
