可以租给有犯罪历史的人吗？

各位大佬：

申请人是个卡车司机， 信用很好，收入也不错， 可是20多年前有个case：

UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPON

现在被女朋友给赶了出来，急需解决租房问题，（当然也不是特别急，他开18轮的，天天在路上）
