如果上海有房产但现在准备入美国籍

这个房产还能持续持有吗？听一些人说没有了中国护照或者身份证会很困难，还是有办法在还是绿卡的时候办什么手续，以便可以继续持有这个房产？

我也不知道是不是外国人是不是可以购买中国房产。。不过房子是在拿到绿卡前买的。谢谢
