从Home Depot 买的负责安装的Rheem热水器才四年半就漏水了

是12年warranty的50吨的热水器，让管道工检查了，是灌漏水了，需要全部更换。打电话给Rheem客服说同意更换。让我们把旧热水器送到当初购买的HD store，要自己负责送去和换新，而且也不负责安装. 这样我们自己安装的话可以吗？不需要新的permit了吗？还是必须找licensed plumber?
