rodent in attic

tenant complained of hearing noises in attic. called pest control company in. different approaches are recommended. 1. set traps in attic, recheck three times $500 2. set traps in attic, recheck two times, set bait stations around property for three months, $750
3. set traps in attic, recheck two times, use wire barrier to close three gaps in roof. $750
these are from different companies. all of them mentioned due to the shapes of roof tile, there are numerous gaps for rodents to get into the house, so unless concrete seals all gaps, there is a good chance rodents will come back. sealing all gaps cost couple of thousands dollars. without considering this option, what is the best approach to get rid of rodents temporarily? thanks.
