税率在接近40%的收入人，有多个投资房历年carry over passive income loss (say 0.5m), in a year like 2022 that loss lot of money in stock market. He can choose to sale one of the rental property to release the Suspended Passive Loss, this will be directly deduct from w2 income no matter how high the w2 is. The Suspended Passive Loss is for all properties (not just the one sold).
