房客要求养一只狗 (7 lbs pit bull) 做为emotional support animal. Pitbull is one of the dangerous dog species. 她提供了legitimate 医生证明 (telehealth). 她有焦虑症. 经常有交房租的困难。 这是一个3B3B Apt, 有二个室友. 请教：
 
1。我们知道房屋保险公司对于房客养的狗有品种的限制，否则会有取消房屋保险的可能性. 但房客以这是 emotional support animal  （ESA）的理由提出，FHA好像也不允许房东歧视 ESA 狗的品种。我们能以房屋保险公司不允许pit bull    作为理由拒绝吗？若不行的话，有何其他理由拒绝？主要是担心狗咬人后房东的责任问题 
 
2。 若实在绕不开，可以要求房客买renter insurance,  比如有三十万的 liability coverage 吗? 现在lease是highly recommended to buy renters insurance,  但没有强制买。
 
3. Are there any better ways to handle this?
