煤气的壁炉上面能放真木头一起烧吗

家里的壁炉是煤气的。里面有个架子，架子上有几个假的木头。我可以在假木头上加几根真木头一起烧吗？

喜欢烧木头的味道。但是又有点担心是否会有安全隐患。
