大家帮我看看窗户是换还是修？

二十多年的老房子，窗户是original alluminum （据说现在都是vinyl）。一般状况看上去还好，就是开关特别费劲，不好开，开了又不好关

现在拿到quote：全部换新的，等四个月，18，000。或者修理，下面是修窗户的说的，其实我也看不大懂，价格倒是便宜了很多，但是又怕修的不理想白花钱，到时候还得换。我的理想状态就是开关smooth一些，密封好一些，要求也不高

The second option is to repair the current windows.  Based on the age of the windows, you will probably need to replace insulated glass units in the coming years.  Insulated glass costs about $200 - $250 per unit (an operating window has an upper and lower glass unit). 

The mechanism that helps the window go up and down (balances) cost $90/set to replace.  There are 20 sets of balances in your home for a total cost of $1,800.

There are several cracked pieces of bead in the top glass unit by the locks.  Each cracked piece can be replaced for $20 each.

Some windows are missing the bulb insulation.  This can be replaced for $25/window.
