OKay I was a little wrong.

"In a flurry of financial activity, Anthony bought for his client a $1.8-million office building in Springfield area and 24 condominiums in Herndon that had gone into foreclosure."

This likely means the attorney bought the 24 condos in foreclosure, not that those condos ... had gone into foreclosure since the purchase.  I am not sure if the writing was unclear, or if my reading comprehension is bad. 

The lawsuit itself was about the attorney misusing of escrow fund.
