Biden Extends CDC’s Moratorium on Evictions through March

Shortly after taking office on Wednesday, President Joe Biden signed an executive order instructing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to extend the federal eviction and foreclosure moratoriums through March. The current moratorium was set to expire on January 31. Biden plans to work with Congress to further extend the federal eviction and foreclosure moratoriums through September which will likely be part of the next federal COVID-19 relief package. NAA will continue to watch this matter closely and alert members as we learn more.
