ask Hank Paulson why they should accep 25 bil at that time, Hank told him if he didn't accept it, they would never get it again. In hindsight, Wells Fargo do need the capital and may need more capital in the near future. No banks are invincible in this world, if you lower your lending criteria and play savior like Ken Lewis of BofA in current situation, you will pay for your mistake dearly later.
