But investing in a bad location is a different matter.

Giving advices without knowing the area thoroughly is very irresponsible at best.

If you know the area, you will know that it will be a risky investment and likely to lose value. Plus when the economy turns around, it will not respond as favorably as other areas.

RE is very local and somebody lives in DC most likely has little idea on what's going on thousands miles away from him.

As I said that this is not to attack him personally, although he enjoys being attacked, I was not intend to give him the enjoyment at this point.
