You are right, 大多是正确的doesn't mean it's correct, while 大多是正确的 is not even a conclusion, but is a process. 项羽 had won 99 times, while 刘备 won just 1 time. But 项羽 was the loser, 刘备 was the winner.

IMHO, the biggest lesson is that no lesson can be learnt from any experience.
