空调公司不愿honor保修，怎么办?

一出租房空调。购买安装合同写明10年零件和人工保修。目前是第9年。现压缩机坏了。公司不愿意修理，说厂家压缩机只保5年因为客户没有在厂家register. 问题是合同从没有要求我去register。也从没口头告诉过。请问怎么对付这公司？
