能不能答应这个 “公司背书“的要求

我在美国拿了个物理治疗学的博士学位。老公的国内侄女夫妇搞了个护肤品公司，自己研制开发。连公司几个员工我们都一无所知。侄女提出要我的资料为公司背书。我跟她们解释我的专业不对口，找我也是绕路，浪费时间。侄女说专业不对口没问题。我是想帮能帮的忙，这个忙我有点顾虑，一是需要说假话。二是顾虑法律责任。
