我的理解：年金的最大优越性是以高回报换安全。

不理解Fidelity Personal Retirement Annuity为什么会有-2.68%的一年回报率。这不是fixed index annuity吗 ？不应有负的回报率呀？年金最大的好处是安全，躲开熊市陷阱！

fixed annuity 相当于CD, 比CD利率高；

fixed index annuity 没有丢失本金的危险，offer capped index return, 还有bonus.

 

 

Can you lose money in a fixed index annuity?

The indexed annuity thus offers a guarantee against loss of principal that investors don't get in the stock market, the chance of earning more than with traditional fixed-income holdings, but less than with a pure stock bet like an indexfund. Investors do not receive dividends as they would with an index fund.
