His obvious mistakes are buying 5 lands in Arkansas with zero income. He appears to own more than one piece of land in Washington. Very probably he owns about 7 piece of zero-income producing land.
This is not investing, this is madness. Real estate investing is not a problem. Investing madly like him with no regard to risk is a big problem.
