换中央空调

美东九十年代初的房子, 中央空调一直没有换过, 现在起动后, 屋里也不觉得凉快, 考虑是不是该换新的了. 房子4千尺左右, 现有两套AC, 楼下4 吨, 楼上2 吨, 找了二三家公司询价.  大公司要 2万出头, 中国人的小公司只要1 万左右, 价格相差1 倍. 

大公司的报价里包括换管道 (install a new lineset refrigeration pipe from the new outdoor condenser to the new indoor air handler; install Line Hide pipe shroud on the exterior of the house to conceal the refrigeration pipe,. Fabricate and install new transition fittlings connecting the new air handler to the existing duct work); 小公司说管道没坏就不用换; 大公司只用LENNOX, 小公司还可以选择其他牌子, 象是TRANE, CARRIER等.

我的问题是我们1)是不是应该换AC; 2) 是不是应该连管道一起换了; 3)什么牌子比较好, 是不是LENNOX; 4) 选择多少SEER的AC? 是不是应该16以上? 谢谢大家!
