Long term u.s home price gain 6.15% (Inflation + GDP), plus say ~6.35% rental yield, that's 12.5%, assuming 40yr deprecation, and maybe 1% tax, you got 9% return.
No tax and with leverage, looks like much better ROI than 401k. if 阿贝's 401k theroy holds, RE is definitely better, agree?
Then R.E should be better investment than 401k
