Spent more on the rental property!

Making money on rental properties is good, but paying tax is not good.  If you have mortgage on your primary residence, maybe, you can move some equity from your rental to your primary.  Another thing that you can do is to spend more money on improvements to reduce your gain.  You might be able to raise your rent a bit if you do some improvements.  I thank you for paying the tax to US government and I am sure that they will use your tax money wisely.  Good luck.
