it is like losing team in basketball pointing out that they have made more shots in the game, even though the shots went in are all 2 pointers while the opponents scored tons of 3 pointers.
you cannot change the rule of the game. teams plan the play according to the rule of the game. whining about rule not being fair after losing the game is just plain silly.
if the rule was set to be popular votes only, Trump campaign can adjust accordingly. It is probably to his benefits in that scenario as it is much easier to reach voters in a concentrated area when you do not have the ground organization of democrat party.
