Warren Buffett said "Diversification may preserve wealth, but concentration builds wealth".

WB also said: "Diversification is protection against ignorance, it makes little sense for those who know what they are doing.”

If you don't know what you are doing, concentration can destroy wealth much faster. 

Diversification is great for passive investment. Active participation, real estate or trading, turns passive investment into actively running a business essentially.
