HVAC vs Boiler

Pros:

1 Financially HVAC seems to have advantage over boiler as heating and cooling are combined into one system through ductwork

2 Fuctionally HVAC can have multiple heating or cooling sources so it has potential to save a lot of money by choosing different source of energy and make maintenance easy if one of the energy sources has problems

3 Installation is not as hard as it sounds, my conclusion is based on my own observation, HVAC installation does not require a lot of muscle but understanding of the principle of calculation of efficiency does help. Zoning can be easily and cheaply implemented by installing dampers on different pipes from trunk.

Cons:

1 Ductwork of HVAC takes more space than boiler for the whole system to work

2 There seems to be some issues regarding comfortable level of moisture when compared with boiler
