Aurora, Colorado is nice, it is a Denver suburb. However, you don't want to live there if you have respiratory problem because its high altitude.
Omaha, Nebraska is the largest city in the Nebraska/Iowa area. Housings are cheap. Humidity is high during summer. Pretty boring place to live because Chicago, the nearest large metropolitan area with significant Asian population, is 7-hours drive away.
Albuquerque N.M., very hot weather, lots hispanics, you feel like you're in Mexico. It is in the middle of nowhere--6+ hours drive to Phoenix, AZ, 10 hours drive to Dallas, TX
You might save up more money in those places but you're lose quality of life.
Life is short, you can't buy back lost time.
