There could be many complications. What I talk is the most common scenario that applies to the majority of employees in start-ups in Bay Area. I assume your case belongs to this common scenario. Consult a CPA with relevant knowledges if you have any doubt. Or ask your HR or Finance department, if your start-up has one.
