Decrease demand

I think China should restrict both private and government car ownership, improve manufacturing efficiencies. I don't remeber where exactly I read. Japan's GDP oil consumption is 20% of China GDP oil consumption per unit. Continue to develop public tranportation.

I actually like the old days, we all ride bike to work, to schools, it is pretty cool now given the triple digit oil price.
