Calvus comatus，“长发秃子”，指造假舞弊者。马诗最后一句 Calvus cum fueris, eris comatus 可以直译成：当你秃头之时，你将长发（披肩），显然是从这个谚语化出来的 :-)
马诗中最折服的一首，也是写给 Fidentinus 同学的。只有两句，又短又毒辣：
Quem recitas meus est, O Fidentine, libellus.
Sed male cum recitas, incipit esse tuus.
The little book you are reciting, O Fidentinus, is mine.
But when you recite it badly, it begins to be yours.
