春望

杜甫 〔唐代〕

国破山河在，城春草木深。
感时花溅泪，恨别鸟惊心。
烽火连三月，家书抵万金。
白头搔更短，浑欲不胜簪。

Nation broken, mountains and rivers are still there;
Grasses and trees in the city had grown high in the spring.
The blossoming flowers made me in tears when thinking of the current situation;
The chirping birds aroused me to hate the separation from family.
The fire of war had burnt three months,
A letter from family would be worth ten thousand gold.
My gray hair is fewer as my keep scratching,
It almost couldn’t hold the hairpin.
