下雨了吗？ It showered, but was it rained? a TOFEL 有趣 试题





中文说下雨了，几乎天上降水 就是下雨， 大雨小雨，阵雨，连阴雨...... 都算，

英文里是否也这样呢？好像 shower 不是 rain，
持续较久才是 rain， 一小会儿 只是 shower， 不算 rain .

你认为呢 (⊙o⊙)？


下面是一个正式官方的天气预报例子：

Detailed Local Forecast

Today: Mixed clouds and sun this morning. Scattered thunderstorms developing this afternoon. High 89F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.


Tonight: Scattered thunderstorms early, mainly cloudy late with a few showers.
Low 66F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.！
