Gray
I become color blind in the middle of a play.
Everyone on the stage turns gray.
By my ear the wheel of colors whisper,
Which color do you favor?
Any color but black and white,
For I paint black in the day and white at night.
The flashy colors console me with a hearsay,
Only sharp eyes can discern delicate shades of gray.
TheBrittleRiddle - I'm so impressed and shaken by this piece... it surely deserves so many reads and comments... i found myself reading it a dozen of times... it's genuine and genius... I can assure you this write will stay with me for long... even though I've always been a black and white kind of person thank you for sharing

- Thanks a lot, TheBrittleRiddle! I am so sure what I want to write about the color gray. I have something vague, yet haunting in my mind. I just wrote down that elusive feeling. I am so glad that you find something resonating with you in the poem.

TheBrittleRiddle - Well, I loved your way of putting this vague yet haunting feeling into words.
