If it's in your fate, then there's no way you could get away from it. It's really not up to your choice.

It's in your fate to meet this boy; your choice to like him; but now...it's kind of beyond your control to fall on him.

All you can do, at this time, is to let go of it (hurts somehow, huh?), although i don't think there's anyway you could forget the time you'd spent together.
