Malone and Stackton ran that successfully for 10 years. Nash & Dirk ran that well, Nash & Amare ran that well, Yao & TMac ran well in last year's playoff. It's not JVG's system or whose system to stop that. You need two good offensive players to run it well, both can shoot and attack. They are at the active side, and defense have to react, therefore in a disadvantagous position.

Is there cure? Yes, disciplined defensive rotation. Not just rotate to cover that two, help defender has to be there to cut the drive lane, which, might leave others open, you need other players to rotate to cover openings. It's all about effort and discipline. Rockets are short in that kind of players this year, either too lazy or dumb to rotate, or too old and slow to get there. That's why you always see PnR from oppositing team, then kicking out for an open 3 against Rockets. There is no special system per sae to stop that high PnR.
