1. Don't get me wrong , I always thought Niner made a right decision to choose CK over AS, even as of today , knowing that AS having a best 6:0 start with KC. I never believed Niner would have a chance to win SB under AS' tenure. Yes, he doesn't have a strong arm, but for me, I don't like the way he reads the game.
2. Yes, JH might like passing game otherwise Niners would not be flirting with PM. But , as you said, AS, even with RB as good as Gore as a decoy , couldn't create much deep ball threat.
3. CK is indecisive this season, comparing to what he did last season. I don't think it is becasue JH or coach team try to pretect him. yes, unlike RG3, he knows how to proteck himself. His indecisiveness and hesitation comes from lack of focus sometimes, based on my observation.
4 As season goes on, if crabtree, maningham come back, Ninier would have more methods to attack , but the biggeest concern for me is alwasy the safety. If Niner could not figure this out, I doubt their chance to go further especially when them meet a team with super QB, such as Broncos.
My dream SB this year is Niner vs Broncos. Do I ask for too much ? hahaha
