Lin is usually a slow starter, but he did pretty well in the first quarter, offensively. Running offense or attacking and scoring by himself, quite refreshing comparing to some games in the past.

However, I am not too satisfied with Jeremy's defensive effort. Yes, he's gone a long way and made major strides comparing to 80 some games ago. But he's got to do a more consistent job and be more disciplined. Comparing to Patrick, Jeremy has a lot to learn from his backup.

Beverly really gives the ball handler pressure, and won't let them wait and make decisions. Also, he's very disciplined - contest but doesn't over help. Shortly before the end of first quarter, got his own man behind him at the 3 pointer line, Laker's driver leaned towards his way. Patricks took a half step up and reached, felt the pressure, the offensive player cut further towards the middle. Patrick didn't follow, stepped back again to stay at home with his own man. That's descipline. On the other hand, Lin has given Blake way too much room. That's Blake, who's slow and unathletic, and you should never make his life so easy. Two possessions in a row, Lin followed Blake half way, then decided to clog the paint to cheat for steals, only completely lost his own man. 

It's playoff time. He needs to take it seriously, if he wants to play 36+ minutes a game.
