McHale is the one pointing out

why the Rocket’s offense is failing, and I am glad to see Lin is in alignment with McHale’s perspective. I hope we will see a comeback tonight with a better offensive style.

The coach wasn't limiting Lin’s time playing the game, and McHale was not keeping Lin from playing the type of ball he wanted. Rather the Rockets were not providing a strong offense recently, and this was impacting Lin’s ability to score in the double digits as seen in this article.
