They acquired 7 new players last summer

They relied on their structured offense too much even after some major changes to their roster in the summer. They believed in their old offensive approach because it won them the title, taking them to the finals and playoffs. It is a blessing in disguise that Rondo’s injury has forced the team to adjust their offensive style that has been used since 2007~8. Now that Barbosa, Lee and Terry are forced to step it up and play more they're doing awesome. As I mentioned other day, Jeff Green can finally do something on offense now. In the last 6 games Doc Rivers was able to quickly regroup the team into a less structured and a more agile approach. If Rondo was in and they were playing this spread offensive style they’d be even better.

We can’t predict how far Boston will go without Rondo.
