In any sport, coach's job is at risk, when A. The team is struggling B. Players are not listening, and not just one but several good players are underachieving.
Under those circumstances, changing coach could change the chemistry, because you can't trade many players together.
D'Antoni's job is at risk, no doubt about it. But I don't see that as a sure thing, because Amare's performance is there to see, PG ane SG positions are really thin right now.
If they can pull out something like Amare for a young energized athletic 4, and a veteran 2, I am all for it. But it's just hard.
