Lakers might think that, Like Sasha, TA wouldn't be able to play consistently well as he did this year. TA , for sure, lifted his game to a new lever last playoffs and definitely showed his potential. in a long run, TA may be a better choice than RA.

but, lakers priority is to win as many rings as possible at kb's peak. in next 2 or 3 years, it is hard to say that TA will be a better player than RA even if TA is more reliable off the court.
