JVG system was not wearing him down. It's the fact Rockets never had a decent perimeter defender that can guard the quick cats like Parker, Davis, Williams, etc. So, JVG constantly asked him to switch over to chase the guards. When was the last time you saw Shaq doing that?

How about when Shaq or Jabar passed the ball out, or even MJ passing the ball out, somebody can shoot? How about that in the system? If Rockets have that type of shooters, hey, let's say one, YM's assist number is gonna look like a decent point guard.

When Lakers were playing Triangle, did you see anybody constantly triple team Shaq? And the price they paid for doubling Shaq? The reason other teams can afford double team or triple team YM is that they don't give a damn to the other players!

Hey, finally, what about this for a system. A reasonable PG who can pass and shoot reasonably well (don't have to be superb).
