With Hayes on the side, Yao's game looks a lot easier

coz Hayes will do the dirty work for him, and will collect rebounds around Yao and cut hard to expect Yao's pass, which also opens up for Yao Ming. However, his shots are horrendous. JVG didn't have much choise. He knew Juwan is soft but he has a mid-range jumper. Last night, when Memet covers Yao, Boozer was freed on defensive assignment. Bringing in Juwan, was hoping his jumper can force Boozer out to play more defense, which will tire him out on offensive end. However, Juwan didn't deliver.

Speaking of Boozer, allow me to be off-topic here. As great as Boozer played last night, we were lucky that Yao didn't need double team help to cover him. As helpless as Yao looked to defend his jumpers, Boozer couldn't really roll inside, crush boards, and cause serious foul trouble of Rockets. As long as he's covered single, he couldn't open up for Memet's jumper game. Now, let's say that Boozer scores 30 in the next game, Rockets are just fine.
